It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

We have been very busy! Isobel and I went to Cincinnati for a long weekend. We met up with my mom and brother at King's Island. We spent a lot of time at the little kid's Snoopy area, and because it was very hot, at the water park! It was great to spend time with family and unwind.

I brought my Kindle on the trip and thought I would get a lot of reading done at the hotel, but that didn't happen! Oh well.

  1. It sounds like you and Isobel had quite the exciting long weekend—I'm glad you had fun, but I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to cram in more reading! All of these books look wonderful, especially Momentous Events in the Life of a Cactus, How to Raise and Antiracist, and Eventown. Thanks so much for the wonderful post, Wendi!

  2. Sounds like your weekend was fun. I still need to read the one by Dusti Bowling, have loved her others. I have the others on my list, too. So many books. . . Thanks, Wendi!

  3. What a wonderful time you all had. I always find it hard to get in reading when I am away from home, or if we have visitors. Happy reading this week! By the way, Isobel is my middle name so I love reading about you and your daughter's adventures.
