It's Monday! What are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

We had a great week - at first. We went to birthday parties, saw extended family, and viewed the cars racing at the Vintage Grand Prix. Isobel even got to sit in one of the cars.

And then on Saturday morning, I started having Covid symptoms and tested positive. John is just as sick. Isobel only has a sore throat, thankfully. She's also still testing negative. We're going to miss birthday parties and other fun events this week. But this virus is nothing to mess with! I feel winded just going up a flight of stairs.

Being homebound did mean more time to read, however.

  1. I'm so sorry your enjoyable week ended with COVID, Wendi! It's awful that you're feeling so winded, but I hope you're able to read a lot and feel better soon. All of these books look excellent—I've heard great things about Thanks a Lot, Universe and Mark Oshiro's other books, and Ode to a Nobody looks great as well. Thanks so much for the wonderful post, and feel better!

  2. Yikes! Feel better soon! I am envious that you are able to read while recuperating from Covid--when I had it, my brain fog was so bad that reading was near impossible. This is such a weird sickness...it is so different for everyone! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
