It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Well, we're nearing the end of summer - Ethan begins school on Tuesday, and Isobel on Thursday - and we're preparing to adjust to new school schedules! Isobel wants to join an additional after-school club, Ethan wants to continue taking fencing lessons on Saturdays, and I am a brand-new member of our district's school board! There will be some juggling, but I think we'll have another successful school year. Fingers crossed.

  1. You have a lot of good reading going on! The Grace Year is awesome! I love Karina Yan Glaser's works, and A Duet From Home didn't disappoint! Have a great week!

  2. Wow, Wendi—it's wonderful that you joined your local school board! I know they will be lucky to have someone so familiar with different students and perspectives, thanks to the world of books. I hope the return to school for your family goes smoothly! And these books look great—I've heard good things about Unplugged and Barakah Beats. Thanks so much for the wonderful post!
